Resource Configuration
Resource configuration controls how much CPU and memory your app gets, how many replicas run, and which port your app listens on.
Settings
| Setting | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| CPU (millicores) | CPU allocation. 1000m = 1 vCPU | 100m |
| Memory (MB) | Memory allocation in megabytes | 128MB |
| Min replicas | Minimum number of running instances | 1 |
| Max replicas | Maximum number of running instances | 1 |
| Port | The port your app listens on | 8080 |
Autoscaling (HPA)
When min replicas ≠ max replicas, Podway enables Kubernetes Horizontal Pod Autoscaling (HPA). Your app will automatically scale between the min and max based on CPU utilization (target: 70%).
For example, setting min=1 and max=5 means:
- At low traffic: 1 replica runs
- As CPU usage approaches 70%: more replicas are added
- At low traffic again: replicas scale back down
Port configuration
Your app must listen on the configured port. The default is 8080. If your app uses a different port (e.g. nginx on port 80), update this setting to match.
Changes take effect on the next deployment.
Plan limits
Resource settings are subject to your plan’s limits. If you exceed your plan’s CPU or memory pool, the deployment will be rejected.
